The Ice Princesses (or, ‘Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think’)

There was a certain beauty to the fact that we had to stay awake for an extra three hours after we had deliberately tried to be good young ones and get an early night before our first day of work, to defrost the frozen air conditioning unit with a hair dryer, in a room with an ambient temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, after we had sat down to attempt to watch the last fifteen minutes of Ice Princess that we’d missed earlier in the day.

A kind of artfully constructed, multi-layered juxtaposition.
